Communicating with Clusters via Reverse Tunnel

QueryPie supports Reverse Tunneling as a means to communicate with resources located in a different Network Zone than QueryPie. When you install a Reverse Tunnel Agent in the Network Zone you want to communicate with, the Reverse Tunnel Agent establishes an outbound connection to QueryPie.

By adding Tags to resources (clusters), QueryPie can communicate with resources in a different Network Zone via the Reverse Tunnel.

Applying Reverse Tunnels to Clusters

Administrator > Kubernetes > Connection Management > Clusters > List Details

  1. Navigate to the Administrator > Kubernetes > Connection Management > Clusters menu.

  2. Select a cluster from the list. For new cluster registration, please refer to Manually Enroll Kubernetes Clusters.

  3. On the Cluster's List Detail page, add the following Tags to the Tags section:

    1. RTS = TRUE: Clusters with this Tag will attempt to communicate via Reverse Tunnels.

    2. Tag of Reverse Tunnel Agent: The cluster will communicate through the Reverse Tunnel Agent that is configured with this exact matching tag. If no Reverse Tunnel Agent has this matching tag, communication will fail.

  4. Click the Save Changes button to save the settings.
