Communicating with Databases via Reverse Tunnel

QueryPie supports Reverse Tunneling as a means to communicate with resources located in a different Network Zone than QueryPie. When you install a Reverse Tunnel Agent in the Network Zone you want to connect to, the Reverse Tunnel Agent establishes an outbound connection to QueryPie.

By adding Tags to resources (DB Connections), QueryPie can communicate with resources in a different Network Zone via the Reverse Tunnel.

Applying Reverse Tunnels to DB Connections

1. Navigate to the Administrator > Databases > Connection Management > DB Connections menu.

2. Select a DB Connection from the list. For new DB registration, please refer to DB Connections.

3. On the DB Connection's List Detail page, add the following Tags to the Tags section:

   1. RTS = TRUE: DB Connections with this Tag will attempt to connect via Reverse Tunnels.

   2. Tag of Reverse Tunnel Agent: The DB Connection will connect through the Reverse Tunnel Agent that is configured with this exact matching tag. If no Reverse Tunnel

4. Click the Save Changes button to save the settings.
