Access Control Logs

Overview

QueryPie records the history of granting and revoking access permissions to DB connections for users and groups.

Viewing Access Control Logs

Administrator > Audit > Databases > Access Control Logs

  1. Navigate to the Administrator > Audit > Databases > Access Control Logs menu.

  2. Logs are displayed in descending order for the current month.

  3. You can search the logs using the search bar at the top left of the table by the following criteria:

    1. Name: User's name

    2. Connection Name: DB connection name

    3. Email: User's email

    4. Privilege Name: Name of the access privilege

    5. DB Host: DB host

  4. Click the filter button to the right of the search field to filter logs using AND/OR conditions with the following options:

    1. Connection Name: DB connection name

    2. Database Type: Type of the database

    3. Event: Type of permission event

      1. Connection Owner Granted: History of granting connection owner permission

      2. Connection Owner Revoked: History of revoking connection owner permission

      3. Access Control Granted: History of granting access permission

      4. Access Control Updated: History of updating access permission

      5. Access Control Revoked: History of revoking access permission

    4. Action At : Date range of granting/revoking permissions

  5. Click the refresh button at the top right of the table to update the log list.

  6. The table provides the following column information:

    1. No: Event identification number

    2. Action At: Date and time of granting/revoking permissions

    3. Event: Type of permission event

    4. User Type: Type of user/group

    5. Name: Name of the user/group

    6. Email: User's email (not displayed for groups)

    7. Privilege Name: Name of the access privilege

    8. Description: Reason for reactivation or other comments

    9. Connection Name: Name of the DB connection

    10. Database Type: Type of the database

    11. Replication Type: Type of DB replication

    12. DB Host: Host of the connected DB

    13. Action By: Name of the administrator who granted/revoked the permission or "System"
