Running Queries

Overview

Running Queries provides functionality to view information about queries executed through Web editor, Workflow, and Proxy, and allows administrators to forcibly stop running queries when necessary. You can check whether executed queries are from Web Editor or executed through Workflow via the Executed From field in Running Queries.

Viewing Running Queries

1. Navigate to Databases > Monitoring > Running Queries menu.
2. Logs are displayed in descending order based on the current day.
3. Click the filter button in the top left of the table to filter with the following AND/OR conditions:

1. SQL Type: SQL statement type
2. Action At: Query execution date and time range
3. Executed From: Query execution source
   1. Web Editor: Executed from QueryPie web editor
   2. Proxy: Executed through QueryPie proxy
   3. SQL Request: Executed through SQL Request workflow
   4. SQL Job: Executed by SQL Job
   5. SQL Export Request: Executed through SQL Export Request workflow
4. You can refresh the log list through the refresh button in the top right of the table.
5. The table provides the following column information:
   1. No: Event identification number
   2. Executed At: Query execution date and time
   3. Name: Target user
   4. Email: Target user email
   5. Action Type: Action type
   6. Connection Name: Target DB connection name
   7. Database Type: Target database type
   8. Privilege Name: User access privilege
   9. Client IP: User client IP address
   10. Replication Type: DB Replication type
   11. DB Host: Connected DB host
   12. DB Name: Database name
   13. DB User: DB user ID
   14. Table(s): Called table names
   15. SQL Type: SQL statement type
   16. Query: Executed query statement
   17. Client Name: Used client name (DataGrip, etc.)
   18. Execution Reason: Query execution reason
   19. Executed From: Query execution source

Viewing Running Query Details

You can view detailed information by clicking on each row.

• The right drawer displays the following information:
  1. Name : Target user name
  2. Action Type : Action type
  3. Privilege Name : User access privilege
  4. Privilege Type : User access privilege type
  5. SQL Type : SQL statement type
  6. Executed From: Query execution source
  7. Connection Name: Target DB connection name
  8. Replication Type: DB Replication type
  9. Client Name: Used client name (DataGrip, etc.)
  10. Client IP: User client IP address
  11. Database Type: Target database type
  12. DB Host: Connected DB host
  13. DB Name: Database name
  14. DB User: DB user ID
  15. Table(s): Called table names
  16. Query: Executed query statement

Stopping Queries

Administrators can intervene and stop running queries in Running Queries for queries executed through Web Editor and queries running through Workflow’s SQL Request or SQL Export Request.

1. Check the query you want to stop.
2. Click the Kill Query button.
3. Check the warning message and click the OK button to stop the query.
