Creating Password Change Jobs

Overview

Register Jobs that periodically change passwords for access accounts of servers registered in QueryPie. Jobs are created by server group unit, and password changes perform account-specific provisioning for individual servers belonging to the server group.

To change server account passwords through QueryPie, you need to register accounts with password change permissions on each server. Also, to change account passwords for multiple servers through one Job, you need to create server accounts to be used in the Job with the same account name and password on each server.

Creating Password Change Jobs

Administrator > Servers > Server Account Management > Password Provisioning > Create Job

  1. Navigate to Administrator > Servers > Server Account Management > Password Provisioning menu
  2. Click the + Create Job button in the top right.
  3. Enter the following information for Job creation.
    1. Name : Enter the Name of the password change Job.
    2. Provisioning Information : Enter credential information that actually accesses the server and performs password changes.
      1. Account : Enter the account that actually accesses the server and performs password changes.
      2. Password : Enter the Password of the account that actually accesses the server and performs password changes.
    3. Job Frequency : Set the repetition cycle of the password change Job. You can set manual changes or periodic changes.
    4. Provisioning Target : Select the Server Group where servers to change passwords are grouped. Access each individual server in the Server Group and change the password for each account. To periodically change server account passwords, the “Provisioning” item in the Accounts item of Server Groups must be set to On.
  4. Save through the Save button.

To periodically change passwords for Provisioning Information accounts, accounts must be registered in the Server Group.

Creating Active Directory Password Change Jobs

Administrator > Servers > Server Account Management > Password Provisioning > Active Directory tab > Create Job

  1. Navigate to Administrator > Servers > Server Account Management > Password Provisioning > Active Directory tab
  2. Click the + Create Job button in the top right.
  3. Enter the following information for Job creation.
    1. Name : Enter the Name of the password change Job.
    2. Target Directory : Select the AD to perform password changes.
    3. Job Frequency : Set the repetition cycle of the password change Job. You can set manual changes or periodic changes.
    4. Provisioning Target : Select the UPN to change passwords.
  4. Save through the Save button.
